My role is to provide a very simple, trusted advice channel for primary schools. I provide everything I can for free, through online videos, articles or in-person contact if you prefer.

A trusted, impartial and objective channel for advice about hardware purchases, including advice about recommendations and quotes from your current IT provider, procurement department or other sources.

A source of advice about where to go for computing curriculum schemes, lesson planning, software, apps and other resources. This includes training services and courses.

I specialise in explaining very new or lesser-known safeguarding and esafety issues.

Advice on the latest e-safety, digital safeguarding or otherwise potentially harmful trends and issues.

Advice on long-term planning for hardware expenditure. This includes rolling hardware replacement, server deployment, networking and IT support provision. I can give you support and advice on developing a long-term plan so that hardware expenditure is effectively budgeted for. I can also look over existing plans and suggest tweaks and improvements.

A curated online repository for IT resources, curriculum schemes and IT training. I curate this but also take submissions.

Personally provide training for teachers in how to utilise IT to its fullest potential. This may include (for example) more effective use of spreadsheets for pupil tracking, online resources, report writing or simply effective ways to model IT in front of children.

Auditing advice

Advice on the needs specific to your school. I can help you give your school a full IT audit, a remote audit or just simple telephone or email based advice. I can advise on what you need, from general advice to specific quotes for equipment. Note that I will not supply any equipment myself nor make any money from recommending equipment to you.

Explanation and advice about different online learning platforms and how they can be effectively deployed for remote learning.

Advice on how schools can effectively support parents, including how to help them with the most cost-effective way to access remote learning and how inform them of any schemes or financial support they may be eligible for.
